The upgrade process
Make sure that your device is connected to the Internet before you open the Reminders app for the first time after updating to iOS 13 or later.
With new features like Smart Lists, the quick toolbar, reminder subtasks, and Siri-powered reminder notifications in Messages, the default Reminders app is better than it's ever been. But if you haven't updated your iPhone, iPad, or Mac yet to iOS 13, iPadOS 13, or macOS Catalina, upgrading Reminders to get those new features might be a tricky. I am using reminders on my iPhone 5, iPad Mini & Mac Air with Mountain Lion OSX 10.8. All my Datasafe are sync perfectly except that I created a reminder which vanished and could not find in any device. I have also noticed that even after updating reminders to their respective due date it suddenly appears as yesterday. That was about iDevice. Now, let’s check out the steps for Mac. Turn ON Birthdays in Apple Calendar on Mac. Open Calendar app on your Mac. Under Other section in the sidebar, check the box to the left of Birthdays. Reminders will also tell you if you have shared Reminders lists that will be affected, or other devices that also need to be upgraded.
Keepvid app for mac. Tap Upgrade Now to begin the process. If you tap Upgrade Later, the app's main screen appears and shows a blue Upgrade button above your lists. Tap it when you're ready to upgrade your reminders.
The upgrade process affects existing reminders in your primary iCloud account only. Reminders in all other accounts, such as secondary iCloud accounts and CalDAV and Exchange accounts, aren't changed.
See your reminders on other devices
After the upgrade, you can view your reminders in these places:
- The Reminders app on your other Apple devices if they're running iOS 13 or later, iPadOS, macOS 10.15 Catalina, or watchOS 6 or later, and signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID.
- A web browser on a Windows PC or an Apple device, even if it's running an earlier version of iOS or macOS. Go to Reminders on iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
Use shared Reminders lists
Shared lists require that both the creator of the list and the people who can view it have upgraded their reminders.
If you have a Family list that was created through Family Sharing, it's converted to a standard shared list when the family organizer upgrades. You can invite anyone to join the converted Family list, even if they're not in your family.
What to expect after you upgrade
Here's what you can expect after you upgrade your reminders:
- iCloud reminders are available on your other devices only if they're running the latest software.
- iCloud reminders created on a device that's running earlier software are visible only on other devices running earlier software. When you update a device to the latest software, new reminders on that device will be merged with the upgraded reminders and will be available on all updated devices.
- If you create new iCloud reminders on a secondary device that's running iOS 13 or later or macOS Catalina, but you haven't yet opened the new Reminders app on that device — for example, if you used Siri to create reminders — those reminders will be lost when you open the app for the first time. To avoid this, open the Reminders app once before you create any new reminders on an updated device.
- You can't see iCloud reminders in Outlook when using iCloud for Windows on your PC.

announced a new iCloud app for Windows users. With iCloud Web, iCloud app, and Outlook integration, it’s easier to access most of Apple’s services on Windows. With iOS 13, Apple has completely revamped the Reminders app on the iPhone. And while the app is natively available on macOS, the same isn’t true for Windows. In this post, we are going to talk about the top three ways to access Apple Reminders on Microsoft Windows. It can be useful for those using iPhone and Windows simultaneously. Let’s get started.1. Use iCloud Web
Apple offers a centralized iCloud experience on the web. From iCloud.com, one can easily access iCloud Photos, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Reminders, Pages, Keynote, and search their iPhone using the Find iPhone service.Tap on Reminders, and it will open up the web version of Reminders with created lists on iCloud. From here, one can add or complete new tasks, and add notes to a task. However, there is no way to add new lists, add time and date to a task, or even get notified about a task in the Windows notification panel. The web version is strictly limited to viewing and completing tasks. Now that Apple has added powerful functions for Reminders on iOS and macOS, I expect them to divert the attention to the web variant too. Also on Guiding Tech

Last year, Apple made the iTunes app available on Windows Store. Now, the company is offering an iCloud app on Windows. From the Windows Store, one can download the iCloud app and use it to integrate the cloud service on the PC. Users can also download the iCloud app from the web. After setting up the service, open the iCloud app, and sign in using Apple account credentials. The service will sync the iCloud Drive, Photos, Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Safari Bookmarks with Windows Operating System. Let’s stick with iCloud Tasks for the moment. When you switch-on the integration for iCloud Tasks, the service syncs the Apple Reminders with the Microsoft Outlook app. After a successful sync, open the Outlook app on Windows.iCloud will create a separate iCloud account under the Tasks menu in Microsoft Outlook. From the left menu, tap on the three-dot button, and open the Tasks section. You will find Outlook Tasks as well as iCloud Tasks with lists. This solution is more functional than the above web version. Right-click on tasks menu, and it will ask you to create a task, filter menu, task sorting by date, and more. The whole UI is fairly basic, but it gets the job done with viewing and taking actions in Apple Reminders. The iCloud app directly integrates with the default file manager on Windows. From there, one can access all the iCloud files, including photos, iWork files, and folders. Users can add a folder and files to sync them to Apple’s cloud services.Download iCloud for Windows
